Zoolute to Dyess: free day at Zoo for military families

ABILENE, TX. – Zoolute to Dyess kicks off Saturday, May 21 offering a day filled with special entertainment at the Abilene Zoo for military families. Active and retired members of the military and their families are invited to enter, visit the animals, enjoy the festivities and eat free of charge with military I.D.All-day entertainment includes the Presentation of the Colors at 9 a.m., Zoo Keeper talks, local musicians, clowns, bounce house and more. Zoolute visitors can also enter free drawings. A free lunch of hot dogs with all the trimmings will be served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. while supplies last in the concession stand.
