Zombies Return to Buffalo Gap!

For the fourth year in a row, zombies will invade the town of Buffalo Gap, Texas. Hundreds of participants, from as far away as Midland, Lubbock, and Dallas, descend on the Buffalo Gap Historic Village to test their survival skills against a horde of zombies. Runners race through the scenic Buffalo Gap countryside, protecting their three waist flags from the walking dead, hoping to make it back to the safe zone with at least one flag remaining. Everyone is welcome to participate in the 5K race, which starts at 9:00am at the Village entrance. Have little ones who want to participate? Consider signing up for the 1 mile Family Fun Run at{{more}}10:00am with a friendlier horde of zombies. All participants receive an event t-shirt!All zombies are members of the military, law enforcement, fire department, medical field, or another form of first responder. All proceeds from the Zombie Run go towards preserving the fifteen historic buildings that make up the Buffalo Gap Historic Village. These structures, which represent the last fifty years of the West Texas Frontier , are some of the last few remaining buildings of their type in the area. The Village staff works tirelessly to protect and preserve these pieces of history for future generations.
