On the evening of Friday, September 27th a new organization was launched in Abilene named the Young Professionals Association of Abilene . The event was held at Robert Lily’s “Know Thyself bookstore which was set up to resemble a lounge. This organization targets primarily young adults that are in school, in their career and/or are interested in networking with others. The group however welcomes all ages and that was evident the night of the event. The event consisted of music, finger foods and fun activities. Keri Gray, President and Founder of YPAA states, “We want to empower people to be successful and learn the importance of networking.” Gerina Davis , Co-Founder and Liaison states, “There is something about the unity of different people with a common goal that is powerful, even if it is to know that there are more “of us” out here in Abilene.” {{more}}The ladies are pleased with the turn out and are looking forward to increasing their numbers and outreach in the next couple of months.
