Wylie District Track Meet

Kelsey Loflin broke the school record in the 400-meter dash with a time of 59.99 seconds, and Cameron Light’s 10-6 pole vault set another school record.The Wylie boys {{more}} won first place in five of the six events off the track, including a first-second-third finish in the long jump, triple jump and high jump.That relay was the only event in which Gary Edwards competed that the junior speedster didn’t win. Edwards won the long jump and triple jump before heading to the track, w here he won the 200-meter dash and was part of the winning 1,600-meter relay. His 200 dash time of 21.53 seconds was more than a half-second better than the 22.1 that placed him fifth in last season’s state meet. His split time of 48.8 in the mile relay was a personal best.
