WACU and ACU athletics host luncheon with Peggy Nelson

The Women for ACU invited the community to a luncheon to meet Peggy Nelson, as she discussed her new book, “Life with Lord Byron,” about her marriage to PGA golfer Byron Nelson. “The Byron Nelson Golf Program endowment supports many deserving young people every year, and all of us at ACU are deeply grateful for their generous support and longstanding friendship.”{{more}}Peggy Nelson’s husband, Byron Nelson, was a member of the PGA Hall of Fame, Texas Sports Hall of Fame and World Golf Hall of Fame, as well as the first golfer to be awarded a Congressional Gold Medal for his contributions to the game of golf as a player, teacher and commentator. He died Sept. 26, 2006, at the age of 94.
