Tye Fireworks Show July 3rd Celebrates Nation’s Independence, Honors Military

Everyone throughout the area is invited to celebrate the City of Tye’s 2nd Annual All American Fireworks Show and Military Appreciation Day on Thursday, July 3rd, in Rister Park, in Tye, just off I-20. {{more}}The event officially will begin at 6 p.m., with family fun, children’s games, food and other vendors will be on hand with fun food and wares.The Tye Chamber of Commerce will give out flags to the children, as well as sell lighted necklaces to help folks display their patriotism. Festival goers are encouraged to wear red, white and blue to show their national pride.At 8:30 p.m., a B-1 Bomber will provide an official “fly over” the event. The fireworks will begin after dark. The event is sponsored by Taylor Electric Cooperative, WesTex Connect, Cumulus Radio, the Tye Chamber of Commerce and the City of Tye.To find Rister Park, take exit #277 off I-20 West, then head south on Highway 707 to the park – right across from the home of the B-1 Bombers of Dyess Air Force Base.For more information, call the Tye Chamber of Commerce at 325-695-8253.
