Learn how to add more interest to your landscape by attending a free workshop at the Abilene Public Library with a colorful slide presentation by a local landscape designer.Back by popular demand, “The Power of Color” will be presented in the second floor auditorium at the Main Library, 202 Cedar St., on Thursday, March 8 beginning at 6:30 p.m. The presenter is Scott Warren of Master Scapes.{{more}}Warren will share a slide presentation and discuss a wide variety of low maintenance perennials and annuals. “Our objective is to show how you can add a beautiful variety of color to landscape in both sun and shade without a great deal of expense and labor,” according to the presenter. The session will also include discussion of proper irrigation and fertilization.“The right landscape plan takes into consideration many factors,” Warren notes. “Your personal tastes, the size and architecture of the home, existing structures and the amount of time one has to spend in maintaining are just some of the considerations.”An Abilene native, Warren has spent 28 years in the nursery and landscape industry. He is a Texas Master Certified Nursery Professional, Certified Arborist, Licensed Irrigator, and lawn and ornamental Chemical Applicator.
