The 3rd Annual Abilene Guns-N-Hoses

The 3rd annual Abilene Guns-N-Hoses event will take place on Saturday, October 2nd at 1:00pm. The event will be held at the Abilene Police Department Training Center located on FM 2833 , 2 miles north of the intersection of FM 2833 and Hwy 351. This challenge pits area police and fire departments against each other in a competition showcasing the skills of each. The competition will include events such as a hose pull, dummy drag and pistol shooting. Also included will be a short, fun bike ride. {{more}} Bikes will be provided if you do not have one. The team with the lowest combined time wins the challenge. The Abilene Fire Department currently holds that honor. Abilene Guns N’ Hoses is a fun event to watch and cheer on your favorite department. There is a $5 entry fee per participant competing in the challenge. There will also be a land access fee of $5 per car. It is per car, not per person, so feel free to carpool.
