Duringthe month of November, some of my Facebook friends and family members posteddaily messages explaining what they were grateful for. Many of the messagesexpressed centered on being thankful for a child, a cherishing spouse, employment, or being safe and healthy. Asa business owner, it is always appropriate to be thankful for and to yourclients. There are a number of ways that small business owners can reach out totheir clients at this time of the year. Make it personal with a card Expressyour thanks by sending a holiday card or personal, handwritten thank you note.Especially when it’s unexpected, this idea can be a win–win for your clientsand your business. Donate a percent of sales Letclients know that a percent of their sale will be donated to a charitableorganization. Many clients feel good about a business that supports local and civiccauses and are more likely to spread the word about it to their families andfriends. {{more}} Social media shout out Utilizesocial media platforms, such as your company’s Facebook page, to show publicrecognition to many businesses at once. Start by launching a thank-you campaignthat thanks a different business each day on social media platforms. Customize gifts Thereare a number of good websites that offer affordable customized gifts. Two thatI use are www.vistaprint.com and www.123print.com. Both havegreat customized gift ideas with a low minimum and low to no set-up fees. Clientswill feel special when they receive a gift with their name or company on apersonalized item. Whateverway you choose to say thank you, remember that gratitude is infectious and alittle goes a long way. By planting the seeds of appreciation now, you can setthe tone for a prosperous year. Wewould like to thank our great clients, friends, and family who have supported JoshuaMarketing Group this year. Additionally, we would like to send a heartfeltthank you to the team at West Texas Tribune for giving us the opportunity to bea voice to the community.
