By Joe Starkey

Taylor County Extension Agent Gary Bomar celebrated his retirement with family, friends and many of those he has helped over the fifteen years of service. Most of his friends brought bags of his favorite snack and filled two wash tubs to overflowing with Pig Skins. The public reception was from {{more}} three to five with a dinner for co-workers and family that evening at Joe Allen’s Correl. He received a flag flown over the state capital from the Education Council and many other awards and presents at the diner. A proud part of the ceremony was introducing three generations of his family that had come to Abilene for the occasion.
