SBA Announces Small Business Person of the Year Award

Lubbock, TX – For the past 48 years, our nation’s President has designated one week each year in recognition of the small business community’s contributions to the American economy and society. The U.S. Small Business Administration will celebrate National Small Business Week May 18-20, 2011 in Washington, D. C. During these days, awards will be presented to outstanding small business owners and to individual champions that have significantly supported small businesses. The U.S. Small Business Administration announces Karen Day of Specialized Therapy Services as the winner of the 2011 Small Business Person of the Year Award for the Lubbock District. The Lubbock District comprises 71 West Texas counties including the cities of Amarillo, Lubbock, Abilene, Midland & Odessa.{{more}}“Each year leading up to National Small Business Week, it is a privilege to participate at SBA district events to recognize the outstanding contributions of small business persons and champions for small business.
