Friends,As you know, this has been an emotionally challenging year for our campus as we have grieved over so many losses. And many of you have asked about a memorial service as a way of providing some sense of closure. In response, on May 3rd in Behrens Auditorium at 9:30am, we will have an “In Remembrance” service for all those who have passed away this school year from the HSU family. At the moment I envision the service to be simple and hopeful as we celebrate the many lives who have meant so much to us, including the recent loss of Kiefer Holman, and extending to the beginning of the semester with the passing of Dr. Tim Maddox.{{more}}If you have a loved one that you would like remembered at the service, like a spouse, parent, grandparent, close friend, or child, please send Whitney the name as you would like it to appear in the bulletin, and a picture as well. We have the capability to scan pictures if you can bring one by.Please mark the date on your calendar and attend if possible. I think we all could use a moment of grace and healing.Let me know if you have any questions.Sincerely,Kelly PigottUniversity ChaplainAssistant Professor of TheologyLogsdon School of Theology
