Permian High Black History club remembers

The Permian High School Black History Club recently presented “Remembering the Past, Shaping the future, Students making history in honor of Black History month. The program was held in the Permian High School cafeteria. Louis and Wilson Barbeque catered the event, serving brisket, sausage, and potato salad with all the trimmings. The program opened with {{more}} the singing of “Lift every voice and Sing”. The dance floor was opened with a performance by “Tavias”. The evening was filled with skits, poetry, singing, music, modern dance and fun. Ms. Angela Love gave the closing remarks thanking everyone for their attendance and participation. The Black History Committee ended with this statement, “We as blacks owe no racial debt to history.”
