Albertsons Market in Abilene will be converted to unique, one-stop shopping experience – The United Family® today announced the opening of a Market Street store in Abilene, as a result of a complete transformation of an existing Albertsons Market store. “We are thrilled to finally bring the Market Street brand to Abilene,” said Robert Taylor, president of The United Family. “We have heard from Guests for years that they would welcome the chance to have a Market Street in Abilene. This is a unique opportunity and this Albertsons Market store is perfectly suited to be transitioned into a Market Street.” The construction phase of the store conversion will begin soon at the location on Buffalo Gap Road and is scheduled to be completed {{more}} in early summer. “Our goal is to minimize the impact to Guests as much as possible while construction is occurring,” added Taylor. “We will remain open, and we have a plan in place to ensure that Guests can continue shopping with us throughout the process.” The store will undergo an extensive transformation into a true Market Street featuring an expanded bakery, spectacularly fresh prepared food options, in-store dining space, coffee shop, bulk food and Living Well sections.
