New Funeral Home Opens in Abilene

Heavenly Care Funeral Service held its grand opening June 13th and 14th. The Green Coats, a special group of ambassadors from the Abilene Black Chamber of Commerce, were on hand to help them celebrate.{{more}}The owner is Mr. Elliot Kirk a graduate of Prairie View A&M University and Mortuary School. Kirk comes from a family that has been in the funeral business for many years. His parents own Baker-Kirk Mortuary in Coleman, Texas. Kirk turned 29 in June. Prior to opening his own business, he worked for one of the largest funeral service companies in Dallas. He picked Abilene because he felt that there was a void that he could fill. Kirk believes that he can compete and get business in that market. He said his service will be second to none and that his prices are very competitive.Kirk said that he wants to give back to this community. He wants to get involved in the community and let his talents be used for the benefit of all.
