NAACP Scholarship Fundraiser

By Anynmous

The Education Committee of the Abilene/Taylor County Branch of the NAACP is honoring our graduating African-American High School Seniors from the Abilene and Wylie Independent School Districts. We are working toward increasing the number of seniors that attend college and expressing our support and appreciation to these young people for their dedication and sacrifice to complete this level of their education. {{more}} Once again, it is our goal to raise $6,500.00 for the scholarships and the reception this year. The reception will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at the New Light Baptist Church, 518 North 6th Street, Abilene, TX and will begin promptly at 4:30pm. You are invited to come and help us celebrate this joyful occasion. In order to make this event successful, we need your support by providing donations of $25.00, $50.00 or $100.00 or you may purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win one of several gifts we will offer. 672-7800)
