NAACP Hosts Graduation Reception

The NAACP Education Committee of the Abilene/Taylor County Branch is honoring our graduating African-American High School Seniors from the Abilene and Wylie Independent School Districts. We are working toward increasing the number of seniors that attend college and expressing our support and appreciated to these young people for their dedication and sacrifice to complete this level of their education.It is our goal to raise $6,500.00 for the scholarships and the reception this year. This reception will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the New Fellowship Baptist Church, located at 1142 Tracy Lynn Drive, Abilene, TX 79601 and will begin at 4:00 p.m. You are invited to come and help us celebrate this joyful occasion.{{more}}In order to make this even successful, we need your support by providing donations of $25.00, $50.00 or $100.00 or you may purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win one of several gifts we will offer 672-7800).
