The Abilene Black Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 21st Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Dinner on January 16, 2012. This popular event celebrates the life and message of one of the most influential individuals of the 20th Century and is attended by over 800 people every year. The planned keynote speaker for the 2011 event is Major General Ronnie Hawkins, Jr. the Deputy Director Command, Control, Communications and Computer Systems , Joint Staff, the Pentagon, Washington, D.C. {{more}}Major General Hawkins received a Master of Science Degree in management and human relations from Abilene Christian University.
