Lydia Long Announces for Place 4 on the City Council

Mrs. Lydia Long stood among four generations of her family living in Abilene to announce that she is running for Place 4 on the City Council. She moved back to Abilene five years ago after retiring as a university professor teaching mainly Criminal Justice.She is President {{more}} of the Old Town Abilene Neighborhood Association and currently on the Planning and Zoning Committee. Her goals are to “market Abilene for its quality of life” and help Abilene clean up their neighborhoods. She closed our interview with the statement “Take care of the city and your neighbors and your crime rate will be lower.”
