Abilene   KennethWayne Lewis, 49, passed away Friday, December 14, 2012 in Abilene. Visitationwill be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 HWY 277South. A memorial service with Dr. Jeff Reid officiating will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 22nd in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Kenneth was born on May 15, 1963 in San Angelo and graduated from Cooper HighSchool in 1982. He was the equipment manager for the Cooper Cougar footballteam and attended Sam Houston State University where he received a fullscholarship as equipment manager for their football team. Kenneth began workingfor Mr. Gatti’s in the 9th grade and worked there for 22 years, earning areputation for making the best pizza in town. At the time of his death, he wasworking as a Para Transit Driver for CityLink. Kenneth was the kind of avidsports fan who knew the stats on players from the high school level to thepros, he especially loved football. {[more}} Survivors include his wife, Katrina Lewis of Abilene; his father, Paul W. Lewisof Abilene; his sister, Carol Denise Lewis of Round Rock; two brothers, Paul W.Lewis Jr. and wife Janene of Round Rock and John D. Lewis and wife Keri ofAbilene; and a host of nieces and nephews. His mother Elsie Mae Lewis preceded him in death.
