AbilenePublic Library would like to remind you that we have free Voters Guides fromthe Texas League of Women Voters to help you make informed voting choices inthe statewide up-ballot races in the primary.These races include U. S. Senator, Railroad Commissioner, Texas SupremeCourt, Civil and Criminal Appeals Courts and State Board of Education. The Guide, which can be carried intothe voting booth, has information on the office and selected issues which eachcandidate is asked to address in 75 words or less. Candidates who do not return theirquestionnaire from the League have only their names and party affiliationlisted. Guides are available in bothEnglish and Spanish . {{more}} Thisyear the League has expanded its primary election coverage to U.S.Congressional, State House and Senate races across the state, even in areas notcovered by a local League .These races can be accessed online at www.VOTE411.org. The League of Women Voters is strictlynonpartisan; it neither supports nor opposes any position, party or candidateat any level of government.
