Hurricane Harbor: Astros take Game Two 7-6 just after Midnight Today: 11 Innings Win evens Fall Classic Tied 1-1
The Houston Heroes of the the Diamond marched in like the Saints early this morning to win an epic 11-inning Game Two against the heavily favored Dodgers and level up the Fall Classic at a game apiece. Late contest heroics prevailed for the Astros as the Dodgers bullpen sputtered down the backstretch, exhausting every reliever to the stealthy blasts of Houston’s heavy hitters. Just 17 extra-inning home-runs had ever taken place in World Series History entering tie-break play late last night. Yesterday’s WS Game 2 added almost a quarter of that tally to the history books in less than a half hour after four more sailed the fences with the Kiss of Death’ coming from George Springer’s two-run boom to make it 7-5 with no outs. Charlie Culberson made things interesting in the bottom of the 11 with a solo-shot deep to put the Dodgers within one but it wouldn’t be enough to claim a second straight victory over the Astros as Houston delivered a scintillating triumph to send the Series to Texas on even grounds. -Jack Walker325-307-9162WTT SPORTS For More, log onto www.westtexastribune.com Like and share this story and our Official Facebook Page and Follow Us on Twitter and Subscribe to the YouTube Channel.Thriftier than the Nickel and Finer than the Dime… This is the Best Press in the West.Copyright 2017 West Texas TribuneAll Rights Reserved.
