Pervis Evans; a talented actor, singer and orator will be the keynote speaker for the Abilene Black Chamber Banquet. Pervis released his first album under his own label this past summer.Pervis is both an Adjunct Instructor and the Director of Upward Bound at Midland College. He has developed over fifteen years of professional experience in the fields of Education and Social Services. His formal training and education includes: Bachelor of General Studies and Master of Science degrees from Texas Tech University; Master of Education in Counselor Education from Sul Ross State University; and Certified Facilitator/Certifier for nationally utilized diversity training, Knowing Who You Are. Additionally, Pervis is working toward licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor. He possesses both the skill and giftedness to serve and connect with others in a uniquely profound way. Pervis currently resides in Midland, TX with his wife and two children. His daily aim is to love God, to love people, and to share messages of hope and inspiration to those he encounters.The banquet will be held on October 24th at McM Elegante 6:30 pm .
