Downtown Dayz

Abilene Public Library is joining the rest of downtown in the monthly ‘Downtown Dayz’ celebrations on the second Saturday. During September, the library will host two programs for the entire family. {{more}} At 11 a.m. Joy Harsh from the Abilene Zoo will be displaying a finny, furry or feathered friend from the Zoo. She’ll explain all about their habits, eating preferences and lifestyles in a very interesting program. At 1 p.m., children and adults alike will have the unique opportunity to perfect their read-aloud skills with Lucy, the Therapy Dog. Lucy is a big, sweet, yellow Lab who LOVES to be read to. She is a very good listener, and never teases if you mess up. The entire family will want to drop by the library and see what surprising beast Joy Harsh will bring, and meet Lucy the Therapy Dog.
