Commodity Carnival Coming to the West Texas Fair and Rodeo Near You!
By Genevieve NyrenGiven that the West Texas Fair and Rodeo is right in your backyard this week, we thought you might be interested in stopping by and visiting the Commodity Carnival. Brought to you through a partnership between CME Group and the National 4-H Council, the Commodity Carnival – now in its third year – is an interactive, educational fair experience that allows young fairgoers to play games that teach them about managing the risks and costs associated with producing and bringing animals to market. The Commodity Carnival booth will be at the West Texas Fair and Rodeo from Sept 11-13, and fairgoers can even take the newest “Risk Ranch” game home with them on their mobile device.Try it yourself! To see Risk Ranch in action, download the game for iOS or Android, or to find out more information, go to http://www.cmegroup.com/education/4-h.html. The app launched last year and now allows you to raise both a hog and a steer while learning about commodities! You can find out further details in this year’s press release. We invite you to stop by the Commodity Carnival booth and share the news with your readers. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions, or, if you’d like to speak with someone from CME Group or a 4-H student, I would be happy to put you in touch. Please reach out if this interests you!Genevieve Nyren 240-3130 Edelman PR for CME Group
