City’s Animal Services celebrates Be Kind to Animals Week

ABILENE, TX. – The City of Abilene Animal Services is celebrating Be Kind to Animals Week Monday, May 9 to Friday, May 13. Citizens are encouraged to join in the festivities each day of the week: Monday – donate dry dog food to a local animal shelterTuesday- donate dry cat food and kitty litter to a local animal shelterWednesday- free flea and tick dips for dogs at the Abilene Animal ShelterThursday- donate a pet toy to a local animal shelterFriday through May 31- $20 discount towards adult Animal Shelter dog or cat adoptions{{more}}Animal Services also encourages families to take their companion animal to the veterinarian for their yearly check-up, rabies vaccinations and city license tag.
