City of Abilene Employee Enrichment Conference

ABILENE, TX. – The City of Abilene will hold it’s Employee Enrichment Conference Thursday, March 31 from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Abilene Civic Center . The event will feature keynote speakers as well as specialized enrichment classes. Approximately 120 employees from departments across the city organization have been selected to attend the conference. Additionally, all city employees are invited to attend a vendor sponsored exposition during the lunch hour to promote individual development. The event will focus on the “City Family” and how each employee is an integral part of the city’s programs and services to the community.{{more}}“One goal of this conference is to show our employees that they are part of a great network,” said Ronnie Kidd, Managing Director for Administration. “We are a large family tree working together while serving the citizens of Abilene .”The City of Abilene employees over 1,100 people encompassing a wide range of occupations: from fire fighters and police officers to zoo keepers to street and solid waste crews. “It all goes back to the city’s mission statement: We work together to build a community of the highest quality for present and future generations,” said Kidd.
