Build A Treasure

Build A Treasure

Malachi 3:16-17 16”Then those who feared the Lord talked with eachother, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written inhis presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored his name.17″Theywill be mine,” says the Lord Almighty, “in the day when I make up mytreasured possession. I will spare them, just as incompassion a man spares his son who serves him.” Haveyou ever wondered what the Lord thinks, when His children get together to speakabout him? Well it is very special to Him! In fact the word of God says thewords become His special treasure. Have you ever seen this scripture? Malachi3:16-17 says, “Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: andthe Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written beforehim for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name. 17 And theyshall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels.” Amen! {{more}} The Lord thinks so much of your speaking with one another and sharing about Hisways, that he has a special book where all our conversations are recorded. Yourconversations with your brothers and sisters are considered special jewels. TheLord loves to hear His children speaking about Him! And His wonderful acts oflove. That’s why the enemy is always trying to separate believers, becausethere is a key in unity. If he can keep us apart he won’t have to think aboutall the treasures our words are building. Unity always brings fellowship, and in fellowship we have communication, and incommunication we create special treasure, most precious to the Lord. The fact is, we will never always agree on how some things should be done, butin order to create special treasure we must choose to put aside our differentways of doing things and focus on the one key element. To speak ~to share ~ toShout ~ and to worship Him! For in so doing we create treasure. We cannot get into this deep sharing of the heart with one another unless weallow unity to have its way with us. Unity is a choice and we know thataccording to Psalm 133 it causes God to command a blessing. I found this wonderful message from one of the Desert Fathers written around400AD. There were two old men who had dwelt together for many years, who neverquarreled. And that one said to the other let us pick a quarrel with oneanother, even as other men do. “Ï know not how to quarrel said theyounger” to which the older replied, “set then this brick in themiddle and say this is mine. To which I will say, no it is mine, from whencequarreling will begin.” So they placed the brick in the midst, and onesaid “this is mine”, to which the other said, “If this be so,then take it and go thy way in peace”. So they were unable to quarrel,Sayings of the Desert fathers We may not always agree with our brother but we can make a choice for unity. When we see unity we will see the Glory of God manifest. The bible says,”The whole earth shall be covered with the knowledge of the glory ofGod” Man has the capacity for great things through unity, He also has thecapacity for evil, remember the tower of Babel? The body of Christ is made up of many ethnic groups. Many cultures manydifferent soci-economic groups, but if we want to see the Glory of God you mustwalk in our diversity and accept our differences and be in unity! On a Motorway near my home wildflowers have been sown on the verges and medianstrips. There is an amazing beauty in the wildflowers. On their own, they seemlike weeds but together they paint a symphony of color, their unity brings acarpet of glory that one wildflower on its own cannot achieve. The thing aboutwild flowers is that they just pop up and seem very random in their individualappearance. Inthese last days of Harvest and glory we will see many new brothers and sistersjust pop up! They will be different to you but they are of you. As you are ofHim! We can choose to see our brothers and sisters as Dads kids or we can walkin disunity and grumble all day long and wonder why we never see an anointingor the Glory in the house. God’s real treasures are not to be found in a bank or in a safety deposit boxor in bricks and mortar. His real treasure is beside you, your brother or yoursister. We are walking Treasures Jewels set apart for Him. Ephesians 4:2-3 says, “Be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, makingallowance for each other’s faults because of your love. 3 Always keepyourselves united in the Holy Spirit, and bind yourselves together with peace.”John 17:21 says, “My prayer for all of them is that they will be one, just asyou and I are one, Father that just as you are in me and I am in you, so theywill be in us, and the world will believe you sent me.” Amen! Come let us speak of his love together. The windows of the treasury in heavenare always open to receive new jewels, and there is no end to the size of thebook into which God will write our words. So many wounded, so many crying inthe secret place, because they have no one to share their blessing with, no oneto express their joy to. How good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! Now youknow what it is to build treasure! Amen!
