Big Brothers Big Sisters is hosting the 17th annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake event on Saturday, April 16th.

Bowl for Kids’ Sake is a great way for Abilenians to support mentoring while bowling, eating pizza and winning great prizes! More than 500 bowlers will be participating throughout the day. Each team raises $500 and consists of 4 – 6 bowlers.

This event is a unique fundraiser because 100% of the money goes to making and maintaining matches between Bigs and Littles in Abilene. On average it takes $1000 to make and support a match for one year. So for every $1000 raised, Big Brothers Big Sisters is able to take one child off of the waiting list.

Balloons, BBBS t-shirts, music and smiles will fill the Abilene Bowling Lanes. Come watch the funds raise and the pins fall!

Interviews with agency staff, team captains, Bigs and board members are welcome before or during the event on Saturday.

The Big Brothers Big Sisters’ mentoring model of sustainable, one-to-one mentoring relationships is proven to help children reach their full potential. Bowl For Kids’ Sake, one of Big Brothers Big Sisters’ premier fundraising events, helps support hundreds of at-risk Abilene children, providing them the opportunity to excel through meaningful mentorship.
