Banker’s Bowl for Kids Sake
By Jamie Bearden - Big Sister and Director of Public Relations

Big Brothers Big Sisters is hosting the annual Banker’s Bowl For Kids’ Sake event this Saturday, August 14th. This event involves the Abilene community and is a great way for Abilene bankers to give back while bowling, eating pizza, and having fun at the same time! Bigs, Littles, and parents will also be a part of the celebration. Balloons, BBBS t-shirts, and smiles will fill the Abilene Bowling Lanes. Bowl For Kids’ Sake is a unique fundraiser because 100% of the money goes to making and maintaining matches. On average it takes $1000 to make and support a match for one year. So for every $1000 raised, Big Brothers Big Sisters is able to take one child off the waiting list. Each team raises $500 and consists of 4 – 6 bowlers. Come watch the funds raise and the pins fall! {{more}} Interviews are welcome before or during the event on Saturday. For more information, please call Michelle Parrish at 325-864-9878.
