My Experience at the”Fuze It Dallas 2.0 Fashion Show” By: Amber Monroe, Hairstylist and Makeup Artist www.Wix.com/BeautyByAmber/DFW 817-983-4255 This past weekend I was fortunate enough to participate in one ofDallas’s many fashion events. On January 14th, Fuze It Worldwide held their second annual Fashion/Art/Music event here in Dallas.I was one of the Hair and Makeup Artists chosen to prep the models for theshow. My day started early, as I was to arrive at the Granada Theater in Dallas at9:30 am so I was packed and ready to go by 8:30. After a few words with mysitter and loading up my car I was on my way to make magic happen! When Iarrived I had a moment to visit with some of the other stylists who weresetting up as well. They were very friendly which worked great since space wasvery limited! I snagged a spot close to the door and put on my jacket becauseit was chilly that morning! {{more}} Finally the models began to arrive and I was able to get started on my firstclient of the day. The look for the show was a high-fashion bun with dramaticeyes and dark lips. I achieved this look with the first model by firstdampening her hair and using lots of mousse. It is always best also to have athick bristle-brush to help tame and slick back strands for a sleek and tightlook. Next I back-combed and sprayed the model’s hair with Sexy HairConcept’s “Back Comb in a Bottle” for immediate texture and anunparalleled hold. . Lastly, I very lightly wrapped the ends of her hair aroundher hair band and secured it with bobby pins for a messy high-fashion bun. Toseal the look I used Kenra’s “25 Finishing Spray.” To complete her look for the runway I applied her makeup last. I used asnowy-silver shadow to bring out her eyes as well as minimal blush and Icombined a deep maroon lip color with a hit of red to finish the palette. Last Iapplied a translucent powder all over to helps set her makeup as well asprevent shine.   After working on three models my time was up for that event, as I had anotherin Ft.Worth that very same day! Beblessed and be beautiful friends!
