My thoughts cannot reach her cause she is all grown up Barriers of stone came and carved her tattoos decorating her precious body which was once in my womb. I solemnly stood helpless on the last day. Only God was my witness.   When they break your heart, they take away all the years Those lost outsiders who enjoy wrecking lives. My life at eighteen was a persevering future of an unseen battle One of which I fought to save my spiritual dignity. Only God was my witness.   When those battles came, some were by choice A fatal ordeal struck by night entrancing me All grown up enough to step into my future nightmare.. Where fools hung out to indulge and some entrap He stole me away with his con-artist tactics. Only God was my witness.   And when she was born I cradled her to sleep each night Thanking God for the blessing and the beauty She was an angel entrusted to me delivered by a realm so bright. My child who I continue to cherish and love And let God win my battle of victory. Only God our Father is our witness    Written on 2/19/2011   Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born I set you apart for my holy purpose. I appointed you to be a prophet to the nations. Jeremiah 1:5
