Abilene City Employees Earn Certification

Ten City of Abilene employees graduated Dec. 12 from the Texas State University William P. Hobby Center for Public Service’s Certified Public Manager program.The graduates began the nationally accredited professional development program designed for present and future leaders in public service in January 2004.Graduates include Street and Maintenance Services Program Manager Rodney D. Abila, Fire Battalion Chief Larry Wayne Bell, GIS Manager Gregory W. Brown, Assistant Finance Director Odis Dolton, Training and Employee Development Manager Joy Hedges, Assistant Police Chief Mark Moore, Information Coordinator Pamela Percival, Building Official David Sartor, Senior Citizen/Recreation Administrator Carl D. Scott and Assistant Finance Director Mindy Reed Whisenhunt.
