Disability Resources, Inc. is pleased to announce that our Big Country Christmas Concert is being offered FREE of charge this year, as our “thank you” to our many supporters. The concert will be held on December 6th, from 7-9 pm, at the historic Paramount Theatre in downtown Abilene. Elvis will perform in the form of Harvey McFadden, acclaimed impersonator, who will rock the Christmas spirit. Joining Harvey on stage will be the famous Macedonia Baptist Church Choir, who will have you tapping your toes and singing along. And, of course, the show would not be complete without holiday music performed by our very own DRI Bell Peppers Handbell Choir. “We are extremely excited that we are able to bring this remarkable variety of performers together for an evening to remember,” said Jo Ann Wilson, Events Coordinator at DRI. “It’s because of the generous support of our concert sponsors that we are able to offer this concert to Abilene and the Big Country at no charge. It’s our gift to you!” she added. Disability Resources Incorporated, founded in 1987, is a nonprofit organization that provides residential care and vocational training to intellectually challenged individuals. Their campus is located at 3602 North Clack. Call Jo Ann Wilson 677-6815 for more information.
