$25,000 Endowment honoring Librarian Emeritus Joe Specht established for McMurry University’s Jay-Rollins Library

ABILENE, Texas – Jay-Rollins Librarian Emeritus Joe Specht gave the inaugural Homecoming Friends of the Jay- Rollins Library Lecture on songwriter Slim Willett on Thursday, Oct. 14. After his presentation, Dr. Paul Fabrizio, vice president for academic affairs, and Steve Crisman, vice president for institutional advancement at McMurry University, announced the formation of a $25,000 Endowment for the Jay-Rollins Library named in honor of Mr. Specht. Specht served the McMurry community for 32 years as Library Director. Funding for this endowment was provided by the Friends of the Jay-Rollins Library. McMurry University is committed to providing opportunities and experiences to insure that every McMurry student achieves their maximum potential—in their careers, their personal relationships, and in their roles as moral citizens and contributing members of society.
