2020 VISION

Without a vision the people perish…With a vision the people prosper Why 2020? 2020 is a measurement of visual acuity to denote the clearness of vision in the human eye. 2020 is considered the normal performance of the eye. Therefore, in our context, 2020 Texas simply means having the ability to see clearly God’s vision for the future of the 10th Episcopal District as a nominal activity between the heads, heart and spiritual visual acuity. If the 10th District wants to be effective proclaimers of the Gospel, homileticians, educators, elucidating God’s Word, we cannot ignore totally the changes from yesterday to today as we teach, preach and pastor from the Word of God to the world today. {{more}}In order to break out of the old paradigm, we must see the same things everyone else does but see it in a new way. A Re-Imagines ministry of the Great Commission by being open to the power of the miraculous, the power of transforming individual lives though them and the power to transform communities and countries. It is time to write a new script of mission minded ministry because without it the church will mean little more than maintenance of the status quo, which can lead to a slow death. *This is just a partial outline of the 2020 Vision*Members of Bethel AME listen to several presentations.
